Trenton Falls during the Flood of 2006
While the Town of Trenton generally escaped any serious damage from the widespread flooding during the week of June 26, the massive amount of water surging through Hinckley Reservoir and Trenton Falls Gorge contributed heavily to the downstream flooding in the West Canada Valley and the Mohawk Valley. Here are some photos of Trenton Falls Gorge when the flood surge was near its peak – Thursday morning, June 29. Normally at this time of year, this waterway is nearly dry, with any available water passing through a nearby hydropower pipeline.
